The Regional Finalist will be annouced on 10th July 2008 to go forward to the National Finals on 7 October 2008 in London. I am so excited, watch this space for the final.

I should mention why I am so happy, here is my brief story. Back in October 2005 my life changed forever, I had a minor operation which was supposed to be an over night stay that went wrong and I lost everything through it, our house, career, socializing, everything, I can only describe it as standing on one spot and not being able to move, everything had gone, the operation made me completely disabled. You can imagine the devastation this is causing me and to my family as it effects my husband and my sons.
I was determined I will not spend the rest of my days housebound watching TV or just wasting away and after finding another home which I can tell you was like going back to being 19 years old again, it needs a complete refurb and still ongoing, I was determined to show after such a terrible event and still going through it, when disabled you can keep going.
I do all my websites to keep my mind and soul going, although physical things are impossible I can still use my hands and brain and this is what I did and still do, I designed and produced House of Francheska to give beauty to the world and also Ma MuSIK to help the music industry. At the moment I do not make any money, all money made is pumped back into the business, I am sure in time the living wage will come into fruition. I do this with all my heart and soul to show the World when very ill you can make a life. I do not normally tell others but through having this operation since then I suffer with Diabetes type 2, Myasthenia Gravis and also the operation gave me a Pulmonary Embolis where I nearly died and have to take warfarin long term.
Before October 2005 I was completely healthy, had a fantastic career and a fab life, one second there one second gone!
My life is far from normal, I have to balance out my work and rest life it is not the normal 9-5 working life, sometimes I am so weak I can sleep for days.I am not a seeker for sympathy, but I like to show others how happy I am at my recent achievements and I thank you for your understanding, if only people knew how difficult this sort of life is, although my closest friends are aware of my situation.

Hi Everyone,
Wow the sun has been shining and everyone is happy, the sun sure does make a difference giving us all happy sunshine days filled with loads of light.
I am planning to add more items this month, in particular a couple I have been working on is the exciting life of Salvador Dali and Elsa Schaiparelli who was one of his best friends. More on Coco Chanel and a wonderful Feature on Mosaic Jewellery. I sure hope I can get all uploaded health permitting.
Over the next couple of months I will also be adding more to the Fabulous Elizabeth Taylor for Avon Collection, more news and more items. Also I am hoping to add more to the Antique and Vintage Costume Jewellery buying section.
I am a great believer in going with the flow, life is to be enjoyed, there is no need to rush and everything special is worth waiting for.
In the meantime if there is anything in particular you are looking for, or you need help on research or want to find something special give Lorraine a shout, nothing is too much trouble and with persistance the answer always arrives.

Hello my dear friends and visitors,
I cannot believe it is June already! time is going so fast, maybe it is just me, everyday is bringing new light and progress for House of francheska.
As you are aware I recently had alterations done to enable more work space, I can thankfully say it is coming along nicely, the major work is finished and now we need to paint and put down new flooring, I am sure it will all be done very soon.
I am so grateful to you all having the patience to wait until I am more organized, health has been up and down but I am like everyone we I cope and take each day as it comes along. There is no rush in life, take your time, go with the flow and your dreams do come true.
I am hoping to add more lovely vintage jewelry and other exciting items sometime this month, in the meantime please enjoy viewing House of Francheska I am sure you will find there is alot to explore

A Message to all Customers, Collectors and Friends
You may be wondering….Why is Lorraine having this Mega Sale?
To all jewellery collectors, friends and customers, after years of devotion to collecting vintage costume jewellery my health is not permitting me to continue with the selling side of the business for much longer.
I have decided to turn my attentions to other area’s which are not so demanding on my time and health ie appraisals, Jewellery Message Board, Researching on very specialized areas like Fine Art, Antique and Vintage jewellery, antiques and memorabilia including vintage advertisements, Hollywood pictures etc, References and Identification.
I have to downsize my personal collection, I am sure you are like me and have been hooked into buying more and more and before you know it, it has accumulated into a huge collection. I will sorely miss these pieces I am selling but I know deep in my heart the buyer will love the piece he or she chooses. I have loved every piece showing on the website and the time has come to release some for sale now.
I will be still around to help anyone who contacts me. I have a huge passion for vintage costume jewellery and will continue to help all collectors find their special pieces.
