Item Vin56 Description - Alfred Philippe "Royal Plume Collection" for Trifari Brooch and Earrings A true Masterpiece by Alfred Philippe for Trifari the design is from "Royal Plume" Collection. Featured in the Christmas 1955 "Make it a wonderful Christmas with Jewels by Trifari" advertisement. This is an older feather brooch and is signed on the back Trifari with the crown. The brooch measures 2.5 inches long and is 2 inches wide. The setting is rhodium plated base metal covered in hand set clear tiny rhinestones with a strip of clear baguettes down the center. There are three missing tiny rhinestones and three darkened baguettes. In addition to being beautiful this brooch is heavy and of very high quality. The matching earrings have the same features as the brooch and measure 1.25 inches x 0.85 inches All pieces are in excellent condition. In the book Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 by Julia C. Carroll, the design is called Royal Plume on page 217.
