Vintage Signed Florenza Victorian Style round locket necklace

Vin 560 Description ...Vintage Signed Florenza Victorian Style round locket necklace. This beautiful ornate large locket has so much detail to it, every piece of the locket has swirls and scroll work. The scroll work around the sides of the locket is equisite, a typical Florenza piece. Dangling below the locket are three ornaments and above a fixed element so that the two chains hang in perfect harmony.

The locket has a very secure fastening and the hinges are in perfect working order. The detail inside the locket carries scroll work which is carried throughout the design. It can hold a larger photograph to be displayed of approx 1.25 inches.

The back of the locket is supported with goldtone metal strips that is not seen from the front it is a feature to mark quality and a bit of old world charm from Florenza. Again every piece of the locket on the back carries the same detailed work.

The locket is in excellent to near mint condition and measures approx 5.5 inches x 2.5 inches wide, the actual locket measurements are 3.25 inches x 2.5 inches wide and the necklace chain approx 19 inches long.

What a beauty, this is a book piece and is featured on page 121 of Marcia Brown's book Signed Beauties of Costume Jewerly. A unique and wonderful piece of jewellery to add to your collection. You will not see many if any of these unique lockets around.
