This beautiful and vintage perfume bottle is Le Roy Soleil by Schiaparelli - C. 1946 - a Salvador Dali creation. The bottle and stopper are Baccarat. The Baccarat emblem is on the bottom of the bottle. The base of the bottle is designed to represent a seascape with waves of blue enamel and gilding. The stopper is representative of the sun rising above the waves. The bottle has large rays extending and is fully gilded with a face and seagulls on the front. The back of the stopper is also gilded but without additional decoration. The stopper is undamaged with no chips, cracks, broken or chipped rays. There is a bit of wear to the gilding and enameling on the face but it is minimal and visible in the pictures. The inner stopper of the bottle is also designed as a long sun ray piercing the water. It is fully intact and undamaged and gilded, also. The bottle, base and stopper are in excellent condition with only the slightest bit of wear evident and there is no damage. The exceptional gilded case is also fully intact with the Le Roy Soleil name enameled in white on the face. It is shaped like a large clam shell with full gilding on front and back. The case is undamaged with no chips, cracks, splits or broken areas. There is a bit of wear to the gilding but, again, it is very minimal. The silky creme colored satin lining is fully intact. There is a light perfume stain on the inner top lining with some overall light soiling noted. The blue ribbon with the original foiled label is intact. I would rate the interior about a 9 in overall condition. The rest of the presentation I would rate a 9.8 - really very excellent with no damage - just showing a bit of use on the inside. The bottle measures 7" in height. This is really a fantastic piece to find completely intact and undamaged. It is a most desirable piece for either Baccarat vintage crystal collector,s Salvador Dali enthusiasts, Schiaparelli fans and, of course, perfume bottle collectors.
