Jeffs Big Birthday Treat Sailing On Cunard's
THE QUEEN MARY 2
Spectacular trip on Cunard's Line - The Queen Mary 2.
Jeff Sailed on a great short July 4th holiday 6 day trip from
NYC to Boston Massachusetts and up to Bar Harbor Maine and
finally up to Halifax where he got to visit the titanic museum and graveyard,
The new Queen Victoria Ship is supposed to be finished the end of this year, that
should be a spectacular ship too. The interior is modeled on the lavish gilded age
interior of the titanic, while the Queen Mary 2 had a very sleek, streamlined and
deco interior very much like the most famous ship of all - the Normandie. The
highlight of jeffs trip on the Queen Mary 2 was a "private audience" with the captain
of the ship who signed his book on the QM2. Marianna his wife gave him the book
as a birthday gift before sailing, Jeff was able to arrange that meeting through an
officer he met on the ship.
Jeff knows everything there is to know about ocean liners and while on board
speaking to other passengers they kept on asking him if he worked for Cunard, he
thought that was so funny, actually he probably knows more about the ship than the
Cunard line staff.
Below are some nice photographs of Jeff posing in front of the Queen Mary 2 Ship
taken the day he left from NYC, it was a brand new pier they just finished to
accommodate that big liner also it does not require tugboat assistance because of
it's special thrusters.
